As a daily “DMZ” between the chaos and our wood floors, it’s doing solid work: the 100% polypropylene pile is soft under bare feet, drinks up drips, and vacuums clean without snagging. The rubberized backing keeps it planted during normal traffic, and after a quick wash cycle it came out looking tidy with no curling or weird shrink there. Yah.Two watch-outs from our first two weeks: because it ships folded, we saw some crease memory for a day or two (it relaxed on its own). And while grip is strong across the middle, we’ve had a corner pop up if you catch the edge just right — something to note if anyone at home is less steady on their feet. I am using this as an entrance runner. It is so much prettier and more effective than just having a doormat. It does have a higher pile that some doors may not clear, but mine does, even with weatherstripping, but it's probably not great for the weatherstripping to brush against it like that. It is plush and soft to walk /stand on and looks and feels like a high quality item. It does not pill or shed. It also does not slip at all! It really transformed the look of our entrance hall from frumpy to classy!

I ordered this rug for in front of my washer and dryer. I misjudged the size of the appliances but this rug is bigger than I needed, and better too big than too small.It absorbs some of the impact of standing on a concrete floor and protects the clean laundry when I'm moving it to the dryer, as I invariably drop socks, etc.It's easy to clean via vacuuming or even sweeping. I haven't needed to wash it yet but it's machine washable which is kind of a must for me.I wasn't concerned too much about how it looks but it's an attractive rug. Maybe someday this rug will make it into the house yet! Given the size, the expected lifespan and the ability to throw this in the washing machine, it's worth the $45 price tag for me.
