Diamond Stair Treads

I recently rented a row home in Baltimore. So our house is very tall and skinny and has very slick hardwood steps. Although my dog is pretty young and didn’t seem to be having too hard a time on the stairs, I didn’t want him to slip and tumble. I bought these for the main staircase in our house since that is the one my dog uses the most often.So far, so good! I just installed them, so I can’t speak to their durability yet, but the installation was super easy. I saw other reviews saying the plastic backing was hard to remove, but I didn’t think that was the case at all. I used my hair dryer like the instructions suggested and the backing peeled right off. I really like how the bottom is grippy, but not adhesive. It seems sturdy— like it won’t move as people and dogs are coming up and down the stairs. But it was also easy to adjust and center as I was installing. We are also renting our home, so I imagine it will be easy to remove them in 2 years when our lease is up.I will say the edges are sticking up a little bit, but I am hoping they will flatten over time. I uploaded a video of my dog coming down the staircase that I have not added treads to compared to my dog coming down the stairs I installed the treads on today. The ones with the new treads definitely seem easier!

Great product ! Stick with no issue ! Look great on my basement stairs! No lifts on edges and loved the color!

I don't typically write reviews but I just had to for these. My senior dog was not doing well on the steps at our new house. They are wood oak stairs. He actually slipped and slid down 2 steps. Now he is up and down all the time. I also have a 3 year old learning stairs and he has done great. I was hesitant but took a chance on these stair treads. I have no regrets! I have not had any issues with the backing not sticking. I think some of the negative reviews may have been user error. I did not have the same experience. I had to redo some of them and it kept its stickiness. We have not had to wash them so I can not comment on how they hold up but so far my experience, everything in the description was accurate. They don't look or feel cheap either. I recommend. These come toddler and dog approved.

Excellent stair tread carpet. Bought them so my pets don't slip and hurt themselves. Previously had a cheaper thinner one that needed to be "stuck" down and these are far superior. Highland recommend

We bought a house with beautiful hardwood stairs....which is a great idea but I found I wanted a bit of traction and padding on them. I inquired at a carpet store and they said they could come and install carpet stair treads for about $1500 and they would nail them into the hardwood! I thought: 'there has to be a better way!' I was sure I would be returning these KOMEER stair treads, but they really were easy to install and they look great. I was so proud of myself for putting them on so quickly and well! But then coming down the stairs I spilled a half a bottle of window cleaner on them: so I picked the carpets up, dunked them in a pail of water, let them hang dry and thought, well, if they work now they've really proven themselves! And they really did. Not sure why they don't move or shift and I've only had them for a couple of weeks but I'm really glad I went this route. Highly recommended!
